By car

If you are travelling by car from Reykjavik you take route 1 northbound and follow signs for "Siglufjörður". After ca. 300 km you reach Blönduós, after passing Blönduós you turn left route 74 and continue (ca.7 km) then turn right route 744 and continue through Sauðárkrókur village, continue along the seaside route 75 until you reach route 76, then you turn left and continue route 76 ca. 50 km (passing Hofsós) and you are there.

 

By air

Take plane from Reykjavik City airport to Akureyri, from Akureyri centrum (Hof) the bus goes just as far as to Siglufjörður (ca 1 hour) and you will need to call us at 899 3183 on the way to Siglufjörður and we will meet you there. The pick up to Siglufjörður for max 4 pers. costs Ikr. 6000 (35 km).

 

By bus

The bus goes as far as Hofsós only on Wednesdays and Fridays.  From Reykjavík busstation at Mjódd bus nr. 57 leaves at 9:00 an 17:30 to Sauðárkrókur N1. Passengers continuing to Hofsós need confirm that to chauffeur at departure from Reykjavík.  Call us at 899 3183 from Sauðárkrókur and we meet you at Hofsós. The pick up at Hofsós for max 4 pers costs Ikr. 4000 (20 km).
